OVERVIEW

This 14th-20th June 2010, kick a goal for men’s health!

Men’s Health Week is a chance to promote awareness for important male specific health issues, while acknowledging and celebrating the contribution men make at work, home and in the community. It’s about encouraging men to make the right choices to improve their lifestyle, wellbeing and all areas of their physical, mental, emotional and sexual health.

Men’s Health Week 2010 puts men in the driver’s seat when it comes to their health, providing men and boys with access to health information and information about how to improve their day to day life for the better. It can be as easy as some daily exercise and a regular yearly checkup with a GP.

On this website you’ll find a lot of useful health information
as well as some fantastic services providing help and information for men. Take your time to look around.

Check out the events page to see what is on in Men’s Health Week in your community and how you can be a part of it.

International Men’s Health Week (IMHW) has been celebrated in Australia since 2003.  Throughout the 1990s various Australian States and Territories set aside a week to highlight men’s health issues. These weeks were celebrated at different times of the year and each had its own focus and priorities. For a history of Men’s Health Week in Australia click here.
